Once upon a time there was a girl. She wanted to be a writer when she grew up. So she began

Once upon a time there was a girl. She wanted to be a writer when she grew up. So she began to read anything she could get her hands on. She began keeping daily journals about her life. She also began keeping every blank notebook and filling them with every idea that ever came to mind.

One day, after the girl had long since grown up, gone to college, entered adulthood, she still had that dream. That dream to one day finish her novel, to have others besides family and friends read it, connect to it and want to recommend it others to read. She found a box (a very heavy box) filled with all the story ideas she had written down as a child.

One day, a few months later after working on her novel and slamming into the great wall known to all writers–writer’s block. Her husband suggested blogging as a way to break down the writer’s block wall. blogging

And then she found a prompt that just said “once upon a time”.
